How do i reset or remove codes on my 1995 eagle talon ecu

Something is broken, that is for sure, pull the transmission out and first look at the clutch plate.

Scan the system and see what codes show up.

black smoke is unburnt fuel, If tune up is recent? look towards fuel regulator

Between the battery and the fuse box under the hood.

1995 Eagle Talon AWD 2.0 liter DOHC VIN "Y" (also FWD 2.0 liter DOHC VIN "Y" )

loss of spark, loss of fuel pressure, engine timing belt has come off.

Reset the ECU? Who told you to do that? Check the basics. Does it have fuel and spark while cranking? Did those wires get put on correctly when they were replaced? Be sure the wires are correct. You can go here and pick the right engine to see how the wires should be run:

You didn't mention which engine you had (with or without turbo).

here is the locations for the turbo and non-turbo models

check for a dirty injector

check the mass air flow sensor, if this is bad then the ecu wont get a signal and it wont send the right amount of fuel to the cylinders causing a no start condition
