Re: need to replace a idle air control valve on a 1999...
Removal & Installation
-
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
-
Disconnect the IAC electrical connector.
-
Remove the IAC mounting screws.
-
Remove the IAC.
To install:
-
Install the IAC to the throttle body.
-
Tighten mounting screws to 5.1 Nm (45 inch lbs.) torque.

Attach electrical connector to the IAC.
-
Connect the negative battery cable.
-
Disconnect electrical connector from IAC motor.
-
Disconnect air plenum (where applicable).
-
Remove two mounting bolts (screws).
-
Remove IAC motor from throttle body.

To install:
-
Install IAC motor to throttle body.
-
Install and tighten two mounting bolts (screws) to 60 inch lbs. (7 Nm) torque.

Install electrical connector.

Connect air plenum (where applicable).
