Which fuses would affect my idle control valve and what voltage should the wire harness show it has 4 wires.2000 dodge durango 5.2 engine

There is no one fuse that powers the idle speed control valve (AKA Air Bypass Valve). It receives its power from the electronic engine control system (known as reference) and that is controlled by the computer depending on the idle load on the engine the voltage varies. So if the system reference voltage was lost then no part of the engine control system would function.

How to replace a intake plenum gasket

Well basically, you remove the intake plenum and replace the gasket and reinstall the plenum. Here are the steps:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the remote jumper terminal located at the right strut tower.
2. Remove the air inlet resonator and tube.
3. Remove the throttle actuator cables from the throttle arm and bracket.
4. Disconnect Secondary Runner Valve (SRV), Manifold Tuning Valve (MTV), Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), Idle Air Control (IAC) motor electrical connectors.
5. Remove the electrical connector and the Intake Air Temperature/Manifold Absolute Pressure (TMAP) sensor.
6. Disconnect vacuum hoses from the Secondary Runner Valve (SRV) reservoir, Speed Control reservoir, and PCV.
7. Remove right and left intake manifold supports.
8. Remove support brackets at the intake manifold front corners and MTV.
9. Loosen upper fastener attaching throttle body to support bracket.
10. Remove clips attaching EGR tubes to intake manifold.
11. Remove intake manifold bolts and manifold
12. Remove old gaskets, Clean gasket surfaces, and install new gaskets.
13. Reverse steps to reinstall manifold

P1299 code after replacing the plenum gasket. Rough and sometimes erratic idle.

This code indicates a large vacuum leak. You can sometimes find a leaky gasket by spraying ether on the gaskets while the engine idles. If the engine changes speed while the gasket is sprayed, you have found the leak.

Chrysler 300m starts at high idle in cold weather

First check the error codes. they can be a lifesaver. Physically look under the hood for cracked or leaky vaccuum hoses. High idling often indicates a vaccuum leak somewhere. look at the vaccuum elbows on both the right and left side of the engine just about midway down the engine from front to back on the plenum- that's the big, black flat assy that channels the air as it goes into the engine.
Once again the codes can tell us alot.

High idle o n a 1996 chrysler concorde. have change the tps and the idle air control valve. i think its a vacum line but i dont know which one. which one s effect the idle

High idle is usually caused by a vacume leak. First place to check is the cold air intake manifold. All hoses, throttle body, and sensors. Throttle Position(TPS), Mass Airflow(MAS), Idle Air Control Motor (valve) IAC. Controls Idle speed

A malfunctioning throttle system can cause both a high idle as well as an engine stall.

A dirty air intake or cracked air intake tube is often the culprit.

I am experiencing problem with my car

check idle are control, could be clogged with carbon from engine. if it is badly clogged it will not run proper. you can take it off and clean valve. but do not put in any liquid. use a old brush to clean out valve on end, do not push on valve or it will mess up setting! clean where it mounts to engine also. hope this helps CARL,

2001 300m overheating problem.

When the vehicle overheats, do u check the water/coolant level in the radiator? If it has reduced, it means ur leaking and u should inpsect to c where the leak is coming from. If the level has remained the same, probably ports are blocked or something to that effect. Keep me posted though
