Transmission issues I have a 1997 Dodge intrepid, the check engine light came on and the error code is 733 and 734. The car only goes into 1 then 2nd and when it is to go higher it slips and sounds like I am reving the engine. Any thoughts on what I need to replace/fix?

Try to get a diagnostic done first ,usually it is an electrical problem.

How do I shut off a check engine light for a 1997 dodge intrepid sport?

You can generally reset them by disconnecting the negative battery cable for thirty minutes and then reconnecting. If it goes out and then comes back you still have issues that need to be fixed. If it does not clear it then you can go to Autozone and they can clear it for you with diagnostic tool.

I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid SE and the check engine light has been on for several days. I took it to Auto Zone and they plugged in their tester. They gave me the following codes - P1776 and P0700. Please...

I recommend changing your transmission fluid to see if that helps solve the issue....

Otherwise, you may have to change the solenoid pack as the screen filter in it will clog, and stick the solenoids.

My 2002 Dodge intrepid has it engine light on

The MAP sensor and Knock Sensor are both very easily replaced. A better scanner will tell you which sensor is going bad on your transmission. An Autozone code reader will not tell you which sensor on the trans. is acting up. Most sensors on your trans. are very easity replaced as well. They just screw in and plug it. It's worth paying to get a "real" scan done. The trans. sensors are inexpensive and you can replace any other your listed sensors yourself.
