Consider properly repairing the hazard light switch via junkyard parts for a cheap price. You invariably have a short that overloads the fuse when you activate the brake lights via pressing on the brakes.

good luck

I have a1998 GMC Jimmy 4x4/ 4 door slt. The blinkers don't work on the front or back of the vehicle. No indication of the green arrows on the dash board our a relay tick either. Also my brake lights don't...

Try wiggling the turn signal switch and see if brake lights and or turn signals start working.Gm did have a recall on the multifunction switch on later models but it did affect earlier models as having the same problem. It's is possible that the multifunction switch is the cause of it all but is also possible that the flasher relay has gone bad but the relay wil only affect the turnsignal and hazrd flashers.

I have no brake lights or turn signals on my 95 gmc truck. I have replaced the boards but no luck. Also have checked fuses.

OK if the fuses are good , use a test light and check to be sure you have power at the fuse terminals. you'll check from ground to the terminal on top of the fuse. you should have 12vdc. then , check for power at your brake light switch on both terminals while the brake pedal is pressed, it is located located on the brake pedal assembly. also , check your hazard flasher switch to be sure it is not on. if it was on, check your flashers, both the turn signal and hazard flasher. If everything checks out , your problem is probably in your turn signal switch assembly located in your steering column.

2001 GMC Jimmy break lights not working but all

Check the brake light switch should be a orange wire with 12v then a white wire with 12v when the pedal is pressed. If htat cks good then ck the hazard switch by moving it up and down and wiggeling the knob with the brake pedal pressed if they start working then your multifunction switch is bad and needs to be replaced.

Blowing brake light fuses everytime you hit brakes.

Sounds like a short in the steering colume, maybe the turn signal switch, or a wire that the insulation got wore thru in the colume. Unhook break light switch and try the turn signals and hazards again and see what happens, maybe you can isolate it that way. Also if you havent done it already chk.the sockets in tailight housing for corrosion and bear wires, or anything, even ground wires.

2000 gmc jimmy brake lights

I had the same problem with my 2001. I found it was the multi function switch. Better known as your turn signal switch. I found that the hazard switch portion of it had shorted. replacement is fairly easy, aftermarket part is available, much cheaper than GM.
