Your old radio had at least 2 power wires, some had 3. One of them stays hot all the time for the clock and radio presets, the second is hot when the key is turned on. And the third is hot when your dash lights are on. If you get these mixed up when replacing the radio, you will have this problem. Most of the dash lights on a GM are under the taillight fuse. I would check them all with a test light. Make sure you are not powering your radio from this circuit. You don't want to dim your radio.

Toyota has a very bizarre methodology making there gauges and dash lights operate, you should take all this apart and just replace the switch. there is a measure of resistance in the switch itself that reduces the current to "nominal" so it keeps the wire from overheating from over draw.

After haveing a aftermarket radio installed, the low beam headlights and the brake lights dont work. The high beam lights will work if the high beam switch lever is held on.

Could be a wire behind the radio. I had a Camaro that had no dash lights after an aftermarket radio was installed. Almost never found the problem. And the company that installed the radio would not admit to causing the problem....even though I had a detailed description of the problem from the tech that fixed it. Wish I had better news for you.

I have an 89 camaro rs and the feul gauge is stuck on full. is it the sending unit or something else

Most likely it would be the tank sender unit, but it could also be the dash gauge and or possible wiring. When u turn off the key , does the gauge go to a different position ? If so, then probably the tank sender, if not then the dash gage.

Transmission for an 89' Camaro Rs ?

Definitely you can save by buying used. Check for local auto dismantlers in your area. Be sure to ask them what kind of mileage the car had on it when they pulled the tranny. Also replace filter and pan gasket while it's out.

97 camaro turn signals fail to work

sounds like two problems. the front turn signals operate through the drl module. It's behind the radio. if you cut and splice the dk. blue to dk. blue w/ white, lt. blue to lt. blue w/ white on the black connector it will bypass the drl but all other functions will work. some say to disconnect the blue connector to bypass however this will discontinue other features, e-brake indicator, rear hatch button, ect. As for the rear light, i would check the rear lamp harness connector behind the interior plastic drivers side for power on the right signal feed and the splice ground.
