Hey, My Toyota 1992 pick up truck was running after I had maintenance done on the calipers and brakes. Then I came back two hours later. It would crank but wouldn't start. Tried cranking it again, nothing but clicking noises happened. Cranked it again dead silence no clicking. Cranked it again it cranked over for less than half a second then stopped. The AC and the radio works. Took the battery in cause the dashboard said to check battery. Auto Zone said the battery was 11.75 volts and the battery is brand new, so I'm having them charge it and pick it up tomorrow. Is this whats happening with your car?
"Either its the stater motor or an altenator that needs to be replaced" or "the radio you just installed is draining the battery if I got something grounded wrong". If recharging the battery doesn't fix the problem and crank the motor Then I need to replace either of these two parts >.<.
P.S. I the battery is only 2 days old and it cranked/started for those 2 days till after I had maintenance done on the truck and the mechanic didnt ticket me so hmmm... maybe he did something to the motor to get more money out of me. O_o
I'll get my truck running again and let you know what I did to fix it (sometime this weekend) but I'm sure your having the same problem I'm having ;).
Ok, I'm back with ya, I picked up my battery from auto zone, put it in the truck and it fired up. So something in your truck must be killing the battery because a bad ground is drawing power from it. I think its either the radio or the brake light (warning) that has a bad ground that is killing the battery. So check your wiring is my only suggestion. make sure everything is snug and not loose and is grounded properly ;).

First are you sure its the fuel pump, and second did you check the filter(s) along the piping to ensure they were clear as well?
