This is a very big task. If I was teaching you how to do it, it would take about 5 installs until I would let you do it by your self. If this is some thing that you want to do then there are tons of web sites on this topic. Tons of Youtube videos. You also need all the right tools. Good luck. PS You can always pay some one to install it and you can watch and learn.

Let me know if this helps. You can use a AA battery to test the speaker leads and find the front and right and left. You can always go to the auto store and look in a repair book for that car. In the back of the book are wire diagrams for the radio. let me know if I can help with any thing else.

Actually the quick and easy way is just to buy the adapter kit available where you bought your stereo
One end has the factory connector and the other end has the same colors typically found on your after market radio
As for your other question... stock amp? yes!
wires from the radio lead to the amp

well i got the stereo to power on but now i have no sound. is there a factor amp in the car? it looks like there was a power lead hooked up the the back of the factory stereo like it was a ground, not part of the wire harness. it was hooked up where the hanger mount goes. when i'm looking at the factory speaker wire harness it only has 5 wires coming out of it. it doesn't make sense to me. are there 4 pos. and 1 neg.? this isn't like any other car stereo that i have ever installed. i don't want to run my own speaker wire to fix the problem. is there another solution?
i got that wire code last nite. it doesnt state how the wires come off the factory harness. so i just re-ran new speaker wires.
thank you for your assistance
