How many wire's or the connector ? One connector at the fuel tank connection . 4 wire's - two for the fuel pump - gray is battery power an black is ground for the fuel pump . Two more wire's - fuel level sending unit . purple & orange with black trace . One more connector - this is for the fuel tank pressure sensor , has three wire's , this one has nothing to do with the fuel pump . This is for emission testing only

Need color code on new connector

Just did my fuel pump on the 2001 isuzu rodeo. Well here is what you need to do about the different wire colors. First disconnect your negative battery. Drop the fuel tank and replace pump. Remember to have a splice kit in hand. Ok now here is how you connect the different colored wires. Black goes with black. Gray goes with black and orange wire. Purple goes wit blue and yellow. And the last wires goes together. I hope this helps.

2001 beetle gas guage not working.. ho w do I determine if it is just the gauage or the sensor in the tank

Guages rarely go bad. the level switch goes out all the time. all makes all models. To check you can pull the plug by the tank, there will be 3 or 4 wires. I don't know what the color cdes are, but put a jump wire between the black (ground) and the other colored wires. ( this wont hurt anything) One is for the pump the other is for the level switch. When you ground the level switch is will jump to full. This tells you that the switch is bad. You can't buy the switch by itself, it comes as a unit with the fuel pump. Costly.

I need to replace the fuel pump and the parts house sells it with wiring. Do you have a diagram of how to run the wiring?? It is for a 2000 chevy blazer. Need it asap.

Grey is the power to the fuel pump.
Purple is the power to the fuel level sensor.
One black wire should go to the frame (fuel pump ground).
The other black wire should go to a connector and back to the fuel guage.
