Well the door thing and trans thing are NOT related.
The door issue is because the GEM thinks the driver or passenger side doors are open, it's sometimes caused by the door switch in the latch assembly inside the door itself , it makes it easier to have a scanner (I.e. Modis or solus ) to see what the doors are doing to avoid wasting $$ on needless repairs.

You should be able to have a transmission service done to replace the transmission fluid and filter & see if it improves the shift quality. Also make sure you use the Proper type of transmission fluid, most ford's take Mercon V type fluid.

Your door ajar concern is caused by one of the door ajar sensors showing open, The sensors are located inside the doors attached to the bottom of the door latch. you must remove the door panel and latch to access then to clean and re-lube them. A ford tool will tell you which door it is. Without this you must do this repair for each door.

As for the transaxle odds are its above 40mph when your feeling this, which is a torque converter shudder which can be resolved by new mercon 5 fluid and additives like lubegard or smartblend or Dr shudder.

What would cause the doors to randomly lock constant and set security

This is related to communication with the transmission shift "range selector". It is a loose connection that is causing the control module to "see" a park or Neutral and the doors unlock. This may turn on the check engine light also. It may eventuallly cause the transmission to not shift, also. You need to check the connection on the transmission and on the shift range selector (sometimes called the "PRNDL" switch. The computer automatically locks the doors when you select a gear. It is seeing no gear selected and unlocking the doors, the seeing a gear selected again, and locking the doors. You really need to get this repaired soon.

I got the Viper 5101 remote start installed in my 2007 Hyundai Sante Fe at best buy. The remote works for auto start, but will only lock and unlock the doors sometimes. It seems like if I unlock or lock...

I would take it back and tell them they need to fix it. it sounds like a wire for the lock/unlock may of fallen off or there is a problem with the remote stare module. wires tend to fall off if all the used were crimp connectors and didn't solder the wires together.

Problem with Central door lock on peugot 106

there is a switch attached to the back of the door lock that opens all doors, it may have fallen off or become damaged, or the mechanical connection to the lock may have snapped.

if the door itself does not even open with the key on its own, the lock mechanism has become detached from the locking rods inside the door, you would need to take off the door panel and look / feel inside near the lock, there is a thin rod connected to the actual locking part and the part the key is inserted into, as well as the internal lever to open or lock the car, it may have popped off. The key-lock itself is usually held on by a thin flat round circlip-washer affair, this may have slipped out too and the key-lock is not connected any more.

Interior Light sometimes will not shut off in Ford Ranger Pick up

If I am not mistaken, the plunger is located in the door with the latch. Most of the time you can just pull the door panel off and adjust the switch. After opening and closing the door, they get knocked out of adjustment. I sincerely hope that this helped you. Take care and best wishes.

2002 taurus passenger door lock

Mine did this. I went around to each door and sprayed a liberal amount of WD-40 in the latch, then open and closed each door about five times. It hasn't done it since. I think the switch inside was not moving freely.

2003 Explorer door ajar light stay on when all doors are closed

I had this problem on my 2003 explorer and took WD40 and gave the lock mechanism a good dose where it meets the clasp on the door jam. Then open and close the doors a couple of times to get them working. They get gummed up and sometimes have a tendency to stick.
