TRANSMISSION FLUID AND TRANSFER CASE FLUIDS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE CHANGED EVERY 60,000 MILES. ENGINE OIL AND FILTER SHOULD BE CHANGED EVERY 3,000 MILES, THESE ARE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY STANDARDS I HAVE WORKED WITH FOR 35 YEARS

I have a 2005 GMC Yukon Denali with 88,000 miles on it, when i first purchased the truck earlier in the year, the oil pressure gauge was reading all the way to 80, now when i press on the accelerator the...

Yes, most likely it is a defective oil pressure sending unit. However, oil pressure is something you do not want to take chances with. Have it checked with a manual gauge to determine the problem as soon as possible to avoid possible major engine failure. I hope this helps.

You can not add horse power to any vehicle without
modifications,common sense.

Speedo accuracy on a 2008 Yukon XL Denali

There is no natural margin for error, either it functions properly or it doesn't. The easiest way to be sure is to elevate the vehicle or atleast the drive wheels/tires make sure the vehicle is properly supported put it in drive set the cruise at 60 mph watch the odometer for 2 or 3 minutes and you should register 1 mile per minute if it is in fact functioning properly. Hope this helps

I have GMC yukon xl 2005 and I got problem on 4 wheel drive.

if i am not mistaking these have the vacuum module on the front differential check it it is probably bad common problem on these trucks from 96 and up if it is the electronic type it could be one of three things the switch on the dash, motor on transfer case, or the electronic module for the 4 wheel drive.

I have got 60k miles on my 2005 Yukon XL and want to know what maintenance needs to happen on the brakes, disc's and suspension? We pull a boat with this car and the car isn't driving as nicely as before.

Your owners manual will give you the required maint for the 60k check up...normally an O/L/F, tire rotation with high speed wheel balance , change the air filters and cabin air filters , new wipers front and back, transmission flush/ reclaim and install fluid (you said you tow) , have the coolant checked as well and if four wheel drive have the transfer case fluid checked or replaced. Have the shocks checked as well and make sure there is sufficient treadwear on the tires...low tread will greatly reduce the ride/handleing of big sport utilities.
