No they will not interchange. The input shaft pump and converter are different. Internal parts will interchange. You will need 96-early 99 model That is old body style.
The answer is really maybe not. on the later silverados they changes the bell housing and torq converter and pump. so you might want to compare the two before you plan on doing the swap
Yes they will all work, but sometimes some of the mounting brackets or plugs will be different, but once you have the two trannies side by side, inspect them and look for any diferences, if you find a different bracketor something , take it off the bad one and put it on the new one, after that everything will snap right in place

It will work but you will have to modify the crossmember and driveshaft and the computer. The 4l60e is an easy trans to recondition

They should all bolt in. Watch for overall length because they could have different length tail shafts depending on what they came out of. You may run into some difficulty getting your driveshaft to fit. However, those come in different lengths as well and it is usually not too hard to find one, the size you want in a scrapyard.
