There is no external feul pump, it is in the feul tank. Also there is no external feul filter, it is in the tank at the bottom of the feul pump assembly.I owned one of these trucks and was not pleased by the location of the feul filter either. If you can find a CARTER supplier they make a cheaper replacment that is same quality as oem.Good luck!
Hello runaboutmom6: My name is Roger and I will answer your question for you. The fuel pump for your van is located inside of the fuel tank. You must drop the tank down from the van in order to gain access for replacement of the pump. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger
No. The fuel pump can be accessed by lifting the read seat. Press on the front edge of the read seat to lift it up and this will expose an access door. Remove the bolts on the access dooor and the fuel pump is visible. Disconnect wiring harness and run engine to depressurize feul system. Now remove bolts on fuel pump to replace with a new one.
Inside the top of the fuel tank. Most cars require the tank be removed, but a few do have an access cover inside the vehicle directly above the center of the tank.
