Sounds like your flasher unit is faulty. it is generally mounted under the dash, you should hear a clicking sound when it works. It looks like a little box or can about 2 inches long.

My left turn signal recently stopped working. Before ceasing to work, the turn signal (just the left) would blink very rapidly (machine gun speed).

sounds like one of light bulbs was malfunctioning and caused the flasher unit to blink rapidly and iy burned out. Replace front and rear turn lite bulbs and see if flasher flashes. if not check fuse and replace fuse. If fuse okay replace flasher unit. Good luck

Turn signals don't work - not the bulbs or fuse

If the bulbs light up but don't blink there is a 95% chance the flasher module is bad. They no longer use a regular flasher like we are used to. The flasher is now a part of the hazard flasher switch assembly.
If you need anything else let me know.
Thanks,

Ford f150 truck flasher relay

I doubt it is the flasher since it handles both sides. A more likely cause is a faulty bulb socket or wiring problem.

1999 buick lesabre my right signal doesnt blink it stays solid , my left turn signal blinks fine i have to manually blink the right side every turn , i put the hazard lights on and the front left and right...

The easiest thing for you to do would be to replace the bulbs that are on that circuit. You should have one or two bulbs with a double filament, one for the brake and turn signal and one for the tail light.
If that does not fix the problem, someone will need to check the circuit for power from the turn signal switch. It takes all of the lights on one side to make the turn signal flash.

/'left front turn signal works but not when headlights are on

1. check your turn signal light bulbs to see if one is burned out or partly burned out. One filament may be broken. Do it with lights on and off. Check brake lights. If one not working that is the problem bulb. Check front and back lights.

2. replace your turn signal flashers in fuse panel

1998 Dodge Durango flasher relays location

Turn on the Durango and check each of the four turn signals to make sure that the bulbs are not burned out. If you find one that has gone out, replace the bulb and retest the turn signals. When a bulb goes bad on this circuit, the resulting operation can mimic a bad flasher or one that is failing.

Locate the combination turn signal flasher and relay. It is on the left end of the driver's dash. Open the access door and view the collection of relays and fuses. At the left side of the mounting block is a larger flasher and relay. This is the combination turn signal flasher and relay.

Test the relay by placing you finger on the relay housing and activating the turn signal. If you have found the right one, you should feel a clicking as the turn signal blinks. Remove the relay, replace with the new relay and close the access door

.

Start the Durango and activate the turn signals to check that they each work. The light should turn on and should blink. Also, check the hazard lights to make sure they work.

My turn signal will not blink, but my hazards work. ive replaced the 2-way flasher and it didnt work. what should i do?

I don't have your wiring diagram, but often, the turn lights and the flasher circuit use two different fuses, so it is not surprising that one would work and the other doesn't.
On a car this old, you are looking not only for burned fuses, but also corroded fuses. Pull the fuses out and examine them for corrosion, and clean their sockets.
Sometimes turn signals will not blink if you have a bulb out (insufficient current flow to trigger the blinker circuit) so if you have a bulb out on each side, that could cause both sides to fail to blink.

I have a 2000 Ford Escort. My left turn signal inside is blinking real fast. Outside it isn't working. Also, the brake light and Haz.Flasher isn't working on the outside either on the left side....

In the fuse panel with the fuses inside the car there are two big round units plugged into the fuse panel, one is your turn signal flasher one is your hazard flasher. I would start with those and move to other things if that doesn't fix it. Hope this Helps.

Blinkers not working

Did you check the bulbs? If one bulb is burned out, the blinkers won't word on that side. You could have one bulb burned out on each side. Start the car, put left signal on. Check front and back lights. Is one light on but not blinking? If that's the case, the light that's not on at all is burned out and has broken the circuit so the good light stays on and won't blink. Check the other side. You also have a 'flasher' , actually 2. One for emergency flashers, one for the turn signals. It could be that the turn signal flasher is shot. You just have to unplug it to remove. It's probably located near the fuses. good luck countrycurt0
