Actually the bad ground is usually in the socket that you put the bulb in. The replacement socket is available at almost any parts store and are not hard to change just access the rear of the lamp and turn the socket counterclockwise then cut and match wires. This is almost guaranteed to repair this problem. I hope this helps. Take care.

I think your break light bulb is damage and not able to work properly so you need to change it so you can give your vehicle to mechanic to repair break light bulb.

This means that a light bulb somewhere on the car ( outside )is not burning when it's supposed to. The headlights ( high or low) the turnsignals front or rear, the break lights, or any of the running lights, and stop lights even the high mount stop light. Check em all and you'll see the one thats out. Ther may be two bulbs in the same light and they both have to work for this warning light to come on. after you start the car if the light is'nt on till you put your foot on the break on it's a brake light bulb Ect. Put in the correct bulb and is=nstalled corectly and the light will go out. sometimes during repairs the wrong bulbs are installed but they work but have the wong value for the senser and the light comes on this can be diffacult to find. The senser that turns the warnign light on can fail too and this is even harder to prove so don't chang it till you proved all the bulbs work and work right and are the right ones. The bulb warning senser is expensive and may only be bought at the dealer or a salavage yard. (you might not be able to find one in the salavage yard and if they have it they might not want to sell it to not go though return it greif).

It sounds like you have burnt out bulbs. All those other lights that you say work are all different bulbs. The tail light bulbs have dual filament so that they can perform the tail light and brake light function. You should change out your bulbs and that will probably solve your problem.

Some tail lights/brake lights have duel filaments. Meaning they use the same bulb for both functions try changing the bulbs.

Check your fuses according to your manual. Sometimes European models the breaking ligth system work in a parallel circuit it means if one light bulb goes off the other one will fallow.

Change your light bulbs (both)

That light should also have a couple of lights symbols on it. If it comes on when you turn on the mains lights then you have a main light bulb gone. If it comes on when you break then you have a break light bulb gone.

Most likely the incorrect bulb was installed or a faulty bulb, causing an electrical cross over. Replace the bulb, and check socket.

The light will go off as soon as the light or the circuit to the light is repaired, if it is still on and the brake lights work correctly, meaning bright normal not dim looking then the monitor for the lamp out warning is defective, they are very pricey would take the bulbs out if i where you.

Do you know if the brake light bulbs are working? (are the bulbs good?). (the bulbs have two parts, one for brake lights the other for running lights)
If the third brake light bulb is working the brake lights should be with good light bulbs.
