Removing Lug bolt plate from car

I have a 2006 Hyundai Elantra. I was changing the roters and I broke off a lug bolt. I took off the roter ans then the cotter pin and then the big center bolt. Now the piece which holds the for bolts on will not come off. What do I do next to get that piece off?

HI:
Stop!!! The "round plate" that the wheel studs are mounted to is your hub assembly. To replace a broken stud, you simply need to use a hammer and a drift pin punch, and pound it backwards. You replace it in similar fashion: insert the new wheel stud in from the back side of the hub, and use the wheel lug nut to draw the new stud into the hub assembly.

You may not have had to go as far as you have. The lug bolts are pressed into the hub and should be able to be driven out with a solid steel punch and a large hammer. Thank you, Dana

You have to remove the entire hub assy from the steering knuckle ,or on some vehicles you don't have clearance for the stud to even come out

I am working on a 93 prelude trying to pull front roters to replace broken lug nuts. but when try to losen 1 1/2 nut cannot get lose and donnot see any locking mechnizm to stop it from spinning off ....

I do not know for sure about the prelude but once you take the lug nuts off of most vehicles, the only thing holding the rotors on is the brake pads. Usually, you can remove a couple of bolts from the back of the calipers, maybe just one and the calipers swing on a hings away from the rotors. One swift kick to the rotor will usually free it up. Who needs a rubber mallet.

Flat tire

The lug bolts are all you need to take off. the big bolt in the middle holds the spindle on and you don't want to take that off. just take off all the lug bolts and the tire should slide right off. if it hasn't been off in awhile, kick it a few times to loosen it up.

2003 hyundai elantra gls front wheel stud broke

grab a large punch and hammer and knock out the old broken one. Push the new one in and re tighten. This will pull it into place and because it has splines it should not spin while doing so.

Front end vibrates when braking

I turn them on a brake lathe in my shop whenever I change brake pads for customers. Heavy repeated braking will make em warp and vibrate like that. also changing the pads without turning them on a lathe will often leave them warped. Usually caused by either overheating during heavy braking effort or very commonly, using too heavy an impact wrench to tighten the lug nuts up. Did u get your tires changed recently? if so, dont go there again. their impact wrench is not set right and is likely overtightening the lug nuts.
Get a local garage/NAPA to turn the rotors and replace the pads. If the vibration is very severe you will have to replace the rotors.
Hope this helps if so pls rate my answer!

Replacment of wheel lug bolts on rear wheels

The bolts can be replaced 1 of 2 ways w/o pulling axle. Need to take rotor off and either press bolts out with an arbor press or can be tapped out with a copper or brass hammer. Once out, the new ones can be pressed in by putting about 4 or 5 washers on and then tightening the lug nut down until the lug is pulled snug into the roter. Once snug, the roter can then be reinstalled on the wheel and brake assy put back. Caution!! Brake assy needs to be supported up out of the way with wire or coat hanger while removing rotor. Undo force of weight on brake pad assy can damage hose or unit itself.
