I have a 2003 Suzuki grand vitara xl-7 with a 2.7 engine. I want to pull a 2001 Coleman Nigara camper. I have taken the camper for a test run and it pulls it great, except it's a little bouncy on a back road. How can I beef up the rear suspension? Heavier shocks? I plan to install a tranny cooler. What else should I do?
SOURCE: Need to remove then repair rear drum brakes
jack up one side at a time without the ebrake on as that will engage only the rear brakes remove lugs and have a good hammer handy and tap on the drum until it will pull off

If you want to install another cooler, you will have to put it in-line either bofre or after the radiator. I have a liberty as well, and have done much towing, and have never had the need for an additional trans cooler.
SOURCE: rear suspension problem, very bouncy
its the round green balls at the rear need changeing.i think they are called sveears.
SOURCE: engine management light on ,suzuki grand vitara 2
Take the car to an autoparts store and have them scan the computer for any fault codes stored. The check engine light is to alert you that the computer has noted a fault in one of the car's systems. Getting the codes will show what the computer has noted and curb the need for speculation. Most parts stores will perform the scan for free. Hope this helped and best wishes.
SOURCE: suspension bouncy
i am not familiar with the mercedes suspension but your problem is caused by bad shocks .. not sure if they are seperate from the hydraulic system .. if they are then thats what you need .. if the shocks are part of the hydraulic system (that would be some neat engineering) .. then there is likely a valve that acts like a shock absorber in that system .. it sounds like the suspension system is working good .. its just the shock absorber system that is causing the trouble ..
