Most auto parts stores will come out to your car and connect a 'code reader' to the On Board Diagnostic (OBD) connector under your dashboard for free. The code often helps you identify what's not working correctly.
sounds like a fuel pump problem, with fuel pumps u can have pressure but not enough volume, try goin up a steeper hill in 2nd gear and get about 3000 rpms on the engine and see if it really drops out bad and is really gutless,if that happens without a check engine light coming on it might be yur pump and u should also replace the fuel filter at the same time, hope this helps
This isn't a definite fix, but it may be that the gasoline in your tank is 'sloshing' forwards and backwards and your sensour is getting readings when the gasoline is in different positions in your tank. The connection is actually above your gasoline tank and you'll have to take off the tank harnesses and drop the tank if you want to check to see if the connection became slightly loose, otherwise you can just fill your gas tank and reset your temporary milage gage (that's the little black button near your RPM meter) and remember how many miles you get per tank.
you need a pcm heat it with a hair dryer its located above the engine in on the fire wall in the middle its a black box with vents and wires heat it up and it will start common prob hard to get less than 250 its 95 only the symtoms are cold days turn key get all dash iliminations exeptt check engine light eventually you her the to relays mounted next to your battery start clicking and if you watch your dash the check engine light will eventually flicker and stay on and it will start if you start it with the relays clicking it will sputter because the relay clicking is for your fuel pump and auto shut down relays let me know how it works out [email protected]
Two items to check, first would be a the fuel filter, second the electric fuel pump, I have had this exact problem on one of these in the past, it is also possible that catalytic converter could be stopped up. The best thing to do is get an autoparts store to retrieve your codes and that will help in diagnosing the problem, good luck!
Engine light could be from the spitting and sputtering, sounds to me like maybe bad spark plug wires, possible an ecm issue, what kinda code is it giving you when the engine light comes on?
