Re: I need a picture of where to locate the fuel filter...
here is a overhead picture of your fuel tank. as you can see, the fuel pump and filter are located inside the tank where the arrows indicate the fuel pump module
i cant verify my picture posted, i apologize if it didn't. accessing the filter is fairly straightforward albeit difficult to remove. you have to drop the fuel tank and the fuel pump/filter assembly is on top of the tank.

The 2005 Saturn Vue has the fuel filter built into the fuel pump module. there is no need to replace this filter, this filter is a lifetime filter. it will last as long as the fuel pump does, it only get replaced when the fuel pump is replaced, you can not buy a fuel filter for this year or model car, the pump is located inside the fuel tank. I will enclose a picture of the fuel pump module that sits inside the gas tank. hope this helps good day.
The 2004 CRV doesn't have a stand alone in line fuel filter, most manufacturers have gone away from that, the filtering is done by the fine mesh nylon strainer screen which serves the same purpose of filtering the fuel, this screen is located at the inlet to the electric fuel pump, the fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. The screen is replaceable, it cost less than $10.00. Here is a picture of the part.
The fuel filter for your vehicle is located on the Fuel Pump Unit, which is located in the vehicle fuel tank. The Fuel Pump Unit must be removed from the top of the fuel tank in order to replace the Fuel Filter.
the filter is on the frame., drivers side. The pump is inside the fuel tank. the problem wont be the filter, but you should replace it anyhow when replacing the pump. be sure to check the fuse and relay. the pump should come on when turning the key on, for 2 seconds, and when cranking. sometimes you can rap on the bottom of the fuel tank and get the pump going. if that gets it going, you need a pump.
A 2001
Mazda
Protege
(actually, all models from 1999-2003 including the DX, LX, ES, Mazdaspeed, and Protege 5)
does not have an inline fuel filter. The only fuel filter it has is a "strainer"
or a "screen", which looks like a nylon mesh "sock". This strainer is
connected to the fuel pump, located in the gas tank. Although this fuel
strainer does not require periodic replacement, it is recommended that
it be changed if you are replacing the fuel pump.
yes it is in the tank. but you can remove the rear seat to get to the fuel pump, instead of dropping tank. (2003 to 2005) kia sorento. fuel filter is inside tank and replaced with fuel pump as an assembly.
FUEL PUMP IS LOCATED IN FUEL TANK..FILTER IS LOCATED ON TOP OF PUMP MODULE..A NEW PUMP WILL NORMALLY COME WITH THIS FILTER..YOU MUST REMOVE FUEL TANK FROM VEHICLE TO REPLACE THESE COMPONENTS..IF YOUR NOT SURE YOU CAN DO THIS,I WOULD TALK TO A REPAIR SHOP..FUEL CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS
