1995 Chevy K 1500 hit by lightning safe mode is on on transmission what can I do to fix it

What is "safe mode"? Do you mean transmission is in fail safe mode (Limp home mode or stuck in high gear)?
Probably missing 12v down to the transmission. At the transmission connector with ignition in on position look for pin E it should have 12v. If it's missing you have a bad fuse or bad ignition switch.

I have had the ignition module fail 5 times in the past year.It only happens when i go to start my car. What might be the problem?

If this concern is encountered, inspect circuits 406 (IC Control for 2/3 Coil) and 423 (IC Control for 1/4 Coil) for an intermittent short to ground or poor connection on either end. Depending on the model, these circuits may short on the AC lines near the AC compressor, on the transmission mount, or on the transmission lines where they enter the transmission. If there is no problem found with these circuits, inspect the ignition control module ground to ensure that it is clean and tight.

If there is no problem found after performing the suggestions above and the SI diagnostics lead to ignition module replacement, replace the ignition module as directed but also replace all of the spark plugs and clean the ignition module ground to possibly prevent future ignition module damage. ( use OEM plugs) Before installing the new ignition module. If the spark plugs are worn sightly or have a high resistance They will cause the ignition module to repeatedly fail.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

1997 gmc 1500 went to start and tach and speed odometer not working and transmission shifts in hard and wont shift down stays in like high gear

Check transmission fuse its the one labeled PRNDL or similar.Use a test light when you check it by the way.If the fuse is good then its probaly your ignition switch failed. If that fuse is bad or the ignition switch is not suppling power to that fuse your tack, speedo, and gear indicator wont work, and your transmission will go into a safe mode.Safe mode is just the transmission staying in 3rd gear all the time until you fix this.

Car slipping in uphill acceleration is it my tires or something more is wrong with it?

Hi,
If the engine is revving but your not going forward then it sounds like your clutch is slipping if it is a manual, or the clutch packs are worn if it is an automatic transmission. Either way the clutch or transmission will need to be repaired or replaced. Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.

Wheels turning opposite

Almost definatly a transmission problem, it is most likely the awd section of the transmission failed. Remove the fuse that controls the awd and see if the fault goes away. If it does then take it to a transmission specialist to be repaired. if not get back to me with more info.
