Check your front wheel bearings by jacking up the front end of your vehicle and trying to wiggle the tire at the top and bottom of the tire. If the tire seems to be jiggling a little bit at the hub; not the suspension or steering, your wheel bearing needs to be replaced. If it gets really bad you can actually see the wheel inverted or the top of the tire leaning towards the inside from the front of the vehicle.

when your wheel bearings go the sensor in the bearing goes off and the abs light comes on.

Good Luck

The light can be reset, but will come back on if problem is not fixed. 4wd comes on because of the abs problem.

Tires changed and now 4wd lock flashing

Did you have same size tires put on ? With the light flashing there is a DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code stored , have to have diagnostic tool hooked up . That's the only way your going find out what the problem is .

2005 Ford Escape - have awd. When i encounter bad roads, the 4wd light flashes. It resets it self when i shut off the ignition; however my abs light has never come on and their were no error codes o

Usually it means there is a component of the system that is not working. It could be a sensor or mechanical problem.
You'll probably need to take it to a dealer or major shop to get it tested.

Is this a hybrid vehicle? You can check the front drive axles these vehicles are known for the ABS exciter rings breaking due to rust build up underneath the ring>

1998 Honda Passport 4wd won't engage, ABS light on.

The ABS and the AWD are interconnected, if the sensor cable is damaged then there is no signal for the AWD sytem to operate from.
Also the ABS,,it wont work properly either,,,the repair is not costly, get it fixed.
