Have you checked for spark? If you have fuel then your next step is to check for spark. Are there any check engine lights on at all? This year camaro came equipped with an optical distributor ignition system and they are very moisture sensitive and prone to failure if you srpay water into the engine compartment to clean it, or drive it thru a carwash. They also mounted the water pump right above the distributor and the water pump has a tendency to fail and leak water into the optical distributor destroying it.
If you do not have spark coming from the ignition coil then I would check to see if you have a signal coming into the coil, use a 12 volt test light for this. To check for spark coming out of the coil. go to the auto parts store and pick up a spark plug ignition tester it will fit between the plug and wire and let you know if you have spark, do both sides of the engine as this will cover both sides of the coil. I doubt both sides of the coil failed, but it is possible. If you have power going to the ignition coil, but no spark you need a new coil. If you have no power going to the ignition coil then check your fuses. It may also be the ignition control module, but this should throw a code.
This vehicle is also equipped with what called VATS, if you look at your ignition key you will see a little microchip installed on the side of it. If that VATS system went it will kill you car as well. If you jumpstarted a car lately or your interior got wet this could be the problem too. I believe the control box for the VATS system is under the drivers seat.
Chevy really stuff a lot of unesssary stuff in this model car and made it really hard to work on.
On 1986-2000 Camaro's you can easily bypass the system entirely. There is a great write-up here: http://newrockies.ca .
Fuel pump may be bad..buy a can off starter spray.. spray some into the throttle body while someone tries to start it, if it starts then its a fuel problem.
