The compressor is also controled by the coimputer. Disconnect the battery than reconnect it than try your ac to see if it comes on. if it does and it clicks on and off than you may be low on freon. Being low on freon will also keep the compressor from coming on because you have pressure switches that are in ac lines that control power to the compressor. you can disconnect the wires at the compressor and with the car running turn the ac on and probe the wire with a test light to see if you have power to the compressor. If you have power than chances are your ac clutch may be bad. Hope this helps leave a comment.

04 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR AIR RIDE COMPRESSOR HAS NO VOLTAGE

Somewhere, ahead of the compressor, are relays and a fuse or two. Your Lincoln dealer should be able to tell you where to look, if you do not wish to take it to them.
I think under the hood is the first place to look, as that circuit is requiring a lot of current.
You have a black plastic cover over a black plastic box with fuses and circuit breakers in it under the hood, and you might find the air ride system named in that box with a corresponding fuse.
God bless your efforts.

Compressor on 96 dodge caravan will not start even after charging system with freon. does computer have to be reset

check for bad fuse under hood. also check for ac relay issue. also under hood . you will find a power dis. center under the hood. (just like a fuse panel)the system does use pressure switches, but check the fuse and relay first. if you have power and ground at the compressor and it does not engage, then the ac clutch is bad. you can check that at the two wires at ac compressor w/ a test light.

Is there a fuse or relay for air suspension for a 1999 expedition

Hello
Since you're looking for fuses and relays, I will assume that the compressor is not working. First check the suspension service shut off
switch located under the right side of the dash. If thats on, go to the fuse block under the left side of the dash and check fuses #4-#5-#20-#2
If they're ok, move to the fuse block under the hood on the left fender and check fuse #109 a large 50amp fuse it's best to use a 12v test light.
If that checks out, check the compressor relay located near the right
headlight assy. there will be 4 wires from the relay, lt blue/pink(hot to fuse #109) lt green/red(grnd to compressor) grey/red pwr to compressor)
drk blue/yell to suspension/steering module located behind ctr of dash.
Before you start these tests turn key to on(should be on for all tests)
use the 12v test light and test for power from grey/red wire at the
compressor + check lt grn/red wire for good ground. If you have pwr+grnd it's most likely a bad compressor. But if no power perform the
above tests. Hope this helps.

Air condition don´t start, a honda civic

Air conditioning systems sometimes leak down and won't turn on when the refrigerant levels are too low.

Lift the hood and listen to the A/C compressor while someone inside the car turns it on.

Does the compressor engage for a second or two and then shut off?
If it does....you need to have your system checked for leaks and recharged.

If the compressor never comes on. Look at the A/C compressor relay. It should be under the hood in a little fuse box with other relays and fuses. When you find this relay you need to see if it works. You can buy a replacement relay and swap it or take it to a parts store and have it checked. Relays are 10-30 dollars and you should have three or four relays of the same type so a real cheap test is to swap a identical relay from an electric window or a defroster. You should see them sitting right next to the A/C relay if you have them.

Good luck and be careful!

2003 COROLLA S AIR CONDITIONER BLOWS HOT AIR.5 DAYS AGO MECHANIC "CLEANED LINES AND PUT IN FREON" FOR $135.00. STILL BLOWING HOT AIR.

If it blew cold air after freon added and 5 days later blew warm, you may have a leak in the system. Also check and see if compressor comes on if not you may have an electrical issue, relay for compressor, coil on compressor, etc.......

2001 Hyundai Sonata 4cyl. Air conditioner worked irratically. Serpentine belt broke and was replaced. A/C started working again, then began only blowing cool air at higher speeds. Now does not blow cool...

Check the AC magnetic clutch relay, it may be sticking open. Bypass it (located under the hood) and see if the system cools down, if not you have other problems.
