Our 2003 4.6 ltr explorer is loosing coolant.I cannot figure out where it is going.no sign of leakage anywhere the vehicle has overheated twice now but when topped off w/coolant the truck recovers fine.the oil level has stayed the same so i'am not sure if the intake is at fault. Very frustrating.

High temp could be low coolant check your coolant level. Low oil-check for leaks, if no leaks then check for blue smoke out exhaust, if no blue smoke it could just be low. A vehicle will go through a quart of oil between oil changes, even a newer one.

Noise comong from engine hi temp low oil on dash 2003 ford expedition

I would seem that for some reason you have no oil pressure. Which would cause the low oil light and the high temp indicator to activate. Does the engine have the correct amount of engine oil in it?

On a 2003 Ford Explorer is the oil drain plug located near the front of the engine pointed toward the passenger side or closer to the middle of the vehicle pointed straight down?

DRAIN OIL FROM THE LOWEST LOCATION WHEN POSSIBLE TO GET MOST CONTAMINATED OIL OUT OF SYSTEM THE SIDE ONE WOULD PROBABLY BE FOR OIL TEMP OR OIL HEATER

I WENT UP TOWN AN WHEN I TRYED TO CRANCK MY FORD EXPLOER NOTHING HAPPEN. THE SERVICE SOON LIGHT CAME ON THE HIGH TEMP/LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON.BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON .ALL THE GAUGES WORK BUT THE OIL...

Your oil pressure guage won't work unless the engne is running.

As with all electrical problems, they are VERY hard to solve wihtout the vehicle being in front of me.

It could be your starter, your stater connections, your ignition switch, or, or, or

Your best bet is to call your local dealer and ask for an appointment to have them search out your problem, they have all the right tools to do that.

There's no way to even guess at electrical problems without your car in front of me.

I hope this helps some.

The computer in your explorer, will not let your truck , because of a blown head gasket or bad seals you need to have it fixed or get a different truck.
