I have a 2007 Saturn ION, been wonderful so far, I have a little over 90,000 mi on it, now my "check engine" light appears then disappears, I'm getting the p0300 error, something about it misfiring, It idles poorly and when the "check engine" light is lit up, it tends to "kick" as I accelerate, but seems to run well when the "engine" light is NOT lit up, any "idears"

I've had the same problem before. Autozone had a code reader and said that it was/had misfired on cylinder #3, which will trigger the check engine light. Start with the cheapest and easiest fix first, install new spark plugs. If that works, great!! If not, install new plug wires. See where I'm going? Keep going with the simple fixes and hopefully this will solve your problem. Keep in mind, the L61 engine that's in your car is one of GM's best designs.

Transmission 2007 Ion automatic transmission. Where do i check the level?

If the check engine light is on instead of won't to check the transmission fluid , have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . More then likely TCC clutch solenoid problem . Take it an have it check .

Check engine light on, Replaced Gas cap, and Air filter. Engine runs good, ran 300 mi since cap and filter change.

After replacing the gas cap and filter, one may want to read the codes and then clear them using a scanner. Since the vehicle is so new, it may require a certain update, though, so the dealer may be the best place to go.

Good luck on this repair.

Check engine light on 2007 saturn ion

Your best bet there, is to run in to one of the big autoparts stores (Autozone, Pep Boys etc) and get a free code scan done. If the code doesn't point you in direction of fix, get back to us with that code(s) and we will be happy to assist you further.
Much cheaper and faster this way.

2007 Saturn Ion Check Engine Light Gas Cap Problem

Best to rent a scanner and check for other problems. If ok, the scanner will clear the light. If you bought a vented cap, the trouble will remain until a sealed cap is installed.
