My cruise control doesnt work on my 1991 GMC Sierra K1500, I have put in a new actuator but it still doesnt work. What I need to know is what fuse runs it, what,if any relays are involved, and if the switch right near the brake light switch is the one to deactivate the cruise control

SOURCE: Brake lights quit working.

if all fuses and bulbs are ok get to the brake switch and see ifits stiff or stuck, if it just has two wires on it you could join themtogether to see if the brake lights come on though obviuosly dont leave them joined.Good luck davelee

SOURCE: My cruise stopped working on my 1991 GMC Sierra

Check your cruise control fuse or relay. It will be in your owners manual. If fuse is good than the cruise itself may be faulty. Check continuity on cruise controler itself. If there is power, than the controller itself is bad and need to be replaced. If there is no power than it may be a faulty switch.

SOURCE: 1990 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup. Windshield wipers, Cruise Control

May want to look at replacing the wiper circuit board. It is located on the firewall adjacent to the wiper motor and has a some what square black cover with 3 torx screws and wireing harness pluged into the side.We had a truck that every time you washed it the wipers would stay on until it dryed out.You can try removing it and spaying it down with contact cleaner just watch the brease on the two contact tips.Well hope this helps.

I have a 93 gmc sierra 1500 4x4 every time i engage it into 4x4 it blows the 4x4 fuse

Try unplugging the front axle actuator (at the front differential). If the fuse stops blowing, you have a short inside the actuator.

I have a 1992 gmc sierra, the cruise control still doesnt work after replacing the box and switch, is there a seperate fuse or trans relay?

The brake light switch can prevent the cruise from working.
On the cars there is a 5amp cruise fuse so I would think there is one for trucks too.
You may have to get a shop manual to get the diagrams to check the circuits and have a test procedure.

I have a 1991 gmc sierra k1500. recently the speedometer, odometer, and cruise control all stopped working at the same time. a few days ago i replaced my speed sensor on the transmission but still no...

There should be a digital ratio adapter controller (DRAC) between the speed sensor and the instrument cluster (IP) that may be faulty (or the IP itself is faulty). Try replacing the DRAC (should be installed on the ECM bracket under the dash). Be sure to disconnect the battery before doing this.
