This could be a bad cam sensor that hasnt gone yet. It would explain why you are running to lean.

You may try your rotor button and distributor cap. and spark plug wires. try your map sensor also they tend to cause a lot of misfiring if they go bad.hope this helps.

Have the codes read before putting any other parts on. Flashing check engine is a critical warning that something serious is wrong. You could spend thousands throwing parts at it and never fix it.

If you have a check engine light lit , there is a DTC - diagnostic trouble code set in the PCM / ECM -OBD 2 engine management system computer . If you don't fix the problem the light will not go out , you need to have a scan tool hooked up to check codes an go from there !

My check engine light is flashing, the car runs rough until I get up to about 30mph and it is running through gas like crazy

Sounds like you have cylinder misfire. Any of the large auto parts stores can run an OBDII check and tell you which cylinder is misfiring (not firing). The engine is running with one cylinder out causing the rough idle. The faster the car goes the less perceptible the misfire is. That is why at 30mph the car seems to run smooth.
