How do you reset Service D light on 2006 ML350

I changed my own oil and air filter on my 2006 ML350. The only thing I could not do so far is to reset the 'Service D' light. Every time I turn on the switch, this option D system warning will be prompted followed by number of days that I am behind scheduled for service. The last time I went there for service, it costed me an arm and a leg!
The dealer would not tell me since they wanted milk more more $$$$.
It is a cash cow for them - I should rename it to Service Cash-cow C!!!

In the owners manual should be a self reset procedure. If you cant find it hop on over to benzworld.org and look around.

How to reset a 2012 ML350 A3 service warning

you need to use the diagnostic program too do this step after a full service
ie check and replace brake pads and fuel filters paper filter oil and fluids and filters then reset its ecu

try to ask the local garages who has the right cable and tools and ask them to either do the full service and reset it
or reset it if youve done a service
this only comes on at a major service point or if the ecu detects an issue so is not just a short service
anything from worn pads to bad oil presure can cause this too trigger as well as miles count

2006 Mitsubishi Galant 2.4L engine..........What does a complete tune-up consist of?

It depends how far you want to go. usually a tune up consists of an oil change, oil filter included, air filter change, and tire check and rotation. But a tune up could also include spark plug check and replacement/upgrade, spark plug wire replacement/upgrade, coolant flush, or even a transmission flush. It all depends on how far you want to go

I have 27000 miles on my Nissan Sentra (2006) 1.8S. For the last 3 months the "service engine soon light" has been staying on. I checked the gas cap, which clicked. But the light stays on. ...

Its telling you that you have a recommended service coming up at 30K miles. The dealer will reset the light when you bring the car in. Nissan recommends you to do your maintence's every 7500 miles. A 30K service will consist of an oil change, change air filter, coolant flush, replace PCV valve, in cabin air filter, along with checking many other systems in your vehicle. Hope this helps.

How reset service interval light (already changed oil, oil filter, etc)

the service interval "light " has nothing to do with emissions or a problem with the car . There is a rectangle slot on the dash cluster you just use your key and press it and it just resets the counter

Same dillema, how do I reset the Service B message in a MB ML350?

If you are turning in the vehicle in 3 months I wouldn't worry about changing the oil. In the old days, they use to say change it every 6,000 miles and then as a way to make more money, they started saying every 3,000 miles. But if you really want to reset your computer, unplug your negative cable from your battery terminal and leave it off for five minutes. On a mercedes, they are very advanced piece of work, but doing this may give you another message regarding losing power, so do this at your own risk.

Re-setting service indicator after oil change (no manual)

To reset go to screen where it says the oil life percentage. Have the car off but in the on position. Press the odometer button (same button to get to the oil life screen) in and hold for a while, something like 30 sec or so until it starts flashing...Then let go and push the button again and hold and after like 5 seconds i think it will then display 100% and that's it. Hope this helps you, good luck!
