Hi! First, it sounds like the radiois not getting power all the time, or at all. Have you checked the fuse? Do you have access to the radio or just the face? Can you use a test light to see if the radio is getting power?

Try pulling the fuse out for 10 min for your radio at the fuse box. This should reset the radio, so you can get your cd to work again. If this does not work, then your going to have to bring it to the dealer to have them scan the radio and or reboot it to have it function properly again. It's common for the dealers to have to reprogram the stereo system on newer cars.
Thank you for using fixya and good luck.

6 stack CD Player in Auto

The CD player died. Probably the magazine (the thing that holds the cd's) isn't functioning properly, crooked inside the radio. Needs the radio repaired or replaced.

If you just bought the car take it back to the dealear, they should make good on the deal, Even if you have to get a little loud in the show room, They dont want other customers ran of so they should make good on fixen it.

05 chevy malibu cd player wont take cds. Acts like a cd is stuck

This isn't good for any cd's, but take another cd and jam it in there, not all the way in but hold on to it so you can jam it in and out, If therees a cd in there, it wont be anymore.

Stuck CD in the multi CD player of 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx

The only thing that is left for you to do is to remove the stereo and then disassemble it and remove it yourself. A little daunting but needs to be done. Sounds like it went in wrong and then became jammed

The front cigarett lighters do not work on my 2006 Chevy Malibu Maxx. What fuse do I need to change to fix this?

There is a fuse box located in the trunk on the drivers side. Remove the panel and the fuse is #20..also a 20 AMP fuse.

2004 MALIBU CD CHANGER/ STUCK CD

My CD player did the same thing on my 2005 Chevy Malibu MAXX LS.  I know it sounds weird, but disconnect the car battery from the car (resetting the whole car system), and then reconnect.  I pressed the eject button on the console, and it ejected my CD with no problem.
