An easier way you may want to consider is removing the bed of the truck. There is only 6 bolts from underneath.2 in the front and 4 in the rear then just remove fuel cap and fuel neck screws and unplug tail light plugs on both sides.

The easiest way I found out to replace a fuel pump on dodge ram truck is to side to box back a bit. I can't remember how many bolts. I think there is 8 bolts. Then slide it back and you can reach it from the top without dropping the tank. I had to do this to my 98 dodge 1500 and my son's 95 dodge 2500. Much easier then spilling fuel and lifting heavy tank for of fuel.

(1) Drain and remove fuel tank.

(2) The plastic fuel pump module locknut is
threaded onto fuel tank. Install Special Tool 6856 to locknut and remove locknut. The fuel pump module will spring up when locknut
is removed.

(3) Remove module from fuel tank.

Fuel pump
REMOVAL
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Disconnect the fuel inlet, outlet and return hoses at fuel pump.
  3. Remove the two fuel pump mounting bolts, and remove the fuel pump.
  4. Remove the fuel pump gaskets and insulator.
Check for leakage, if there is oil or fuel leaking from the breather hole, oil seal or diaphragm of fuel pump, the pump is defective. Replace fuel pump as an assembly.

INSTALLATION
  1. Turn the crankshaft so the No. 1 cylinder is at top dead center on the compression stroke. NOTE : This is to minimize cam lift for ease of installation.
  2. Insert the push rod into the cylinder head.
  3. Install the new gasket and insulator, install the fuel pump.
  4. Tighten the bolts firmly.
  5. Connect the fuel hoses to the fuel pump ******* and tighten the hose clamps.
  6. START the engine.
  7. Check for fuel or oil leaks.

Trying to find fuel pump on my '84 G30 1 ton van with a V8 350 5.7 liters engine? And whats the best way to replce it?

Trying to find?

Best Way?

Almost all fuel pumps are in the fuel tank

You have no choice but to remove the tank,
then remove the pump from the top.

A'm I missing the question?

Not geting fuel

first check the fuse box to see if there are fuses for the fuel pump, and also check to see if there is a fuel pump relay...if fuses are good..then have someone turn the key on while you listen to the fuel pump relay...it should click when the key is turned.....if this works then there may be the possibility that the fuel; pump is defective...you can try hitting the fuel tank with a rubber mallet and see if the fuel pump starts working again...a lot of dodge fuel pumps will become intermittant(I have had several dodge p/u trucks do this) and if you pound on the fuel tank ...sometimes they will start working again....if it starts working, then you will need to change it..because it will only happen again...and probably at the most inconvenient time...to change the fuel pump you will either need too remove the bed of the truck(which I find is the easiest way) to get to the top of the fuel tank. Or , you can remove the straps that hold the fuel tank up...the only problem with this is if the tank is full then it is going to weigh somewhere around 250 pounds...best way is to remove the bed....on top of the fuel tank is the "fuel deliver module"...as dodge refers to it as...there is a large "C" clip that holds the unit in the tank...you need to remove the clip with a flat blade screwdriver and then the module will pop up...be careful when removing the unit as there is a float assembly that may be damaged when you remove the assembly.....sometimes you may be able to obtain just the fuel pump(depending on model) and sometimes you may have to replace the whole delivery module, which is rather expensive...then reassemble is revers order

Whats the best wat to chang my fuel pump

Either jack up the truck and drop the tank risking need of more repairs to straps or remove bed from truck and do it while the tank is still on the truck .
I have in the past with old rusted beaters cut a hole in the bed of the truck to access the fuel pump and put the bedliner back in so I didnt see the hole.

My 2005 dodge stratus sedan just today, the engine

A fuel pressure test will tell you if the pump is performing as it should, the first step would be to scan the computer to see what the code or codes are. Has the vehicle had a tune up recently if ever?

How do I change the fuel pump?

Go to the autozone website at autozone.com and register your vehicle. It's free and will give you access to an online repair manual for your vehicle. The procedures for changing out the fuel pump can be found there. ( I checked). Hope this helped and best wishes.
