My 1999 gmc sierra's brake lights don't come on when applying the break.
All the other light's work, and the break's work. None of the break lights,
not even the one above the rear window on the back of the cab.

follow the wiring wherit passes through from the hatch to body of vehicle sometimes they pinch or corode and break, this sounds like a broken wire to me,
I would sugest a bad earth, 1st remove the brake globes & see if the sockets that house them are rusty, if so clean with emery paper & refit globes. See if this works 1st. ps don't forget to clean the globes contacts to
Make sure the brake light are coming on when pedal is stepped on, as the shifter uses the brake light switch to send power to shifter release soleniod, most times its the brake light switch, you will need to check for power at the shift release soleniod.
The brake light switch is at fault. Get a new one and replace it. The location is at the brake pedal area mounted on a bracket with a plunger stud that rest on the brake pedal's arm the pad is attached to
The rule of thumb is to start as far away from the master cylinder as poss. so it means you start at the right rear, left rear, right front, then at last left front. There is a little a little weep bolt on each calliper it needs to be un lossened when break is fully applyed then tighten weep bolt back up pump the breaks while weep bolt is still tight then hold brake pedal down to floor lossen weep bolt till a full steam of fluid comes out tighten bolt back up, now move on to the next break calliper and repeat this same proccess till you finished.
