Should be between the radiator and engine, underneath the car. There might be a plastic cover held on with 10mm bolts. The starter bolts go up thru the starter, into the block.

Actually, I had to remove the filter, filter guard, flywheel inspection covers, electric fan, and one sensor connector. Then, it was a breeze!

1994 Olds Cutlass Ciera starter issues

You should have two or three wires that go to the large post on the solenoid, including the 4 gauge wire from the battery. Then one 16 gauge wire to the small post. That wire comes from the key switch.
Let me know if you need colors for wires.

Where exactly is a crank sensor on a 1988 olds. 2.8 v6

should be behind the bottom pulley(harmonic balancer)(crankshaft pulley). You will have to remove the bolt in the pulley first,to do this. You will have to remove the starter or there might be a small shield where the tranny and engine attach. This will give you a way to hold the engine so you can remove the bolt.I use an old main bearing and put in the teeth on flywheel.once bolt out You will have to get a 2 or 3 jaw puller and pull the pulley off.

'95 cutlass ciera, Mating the trans and engine?

Hi
Fit the torque convertor to the gearbox first, make sure it locates fully with the pump drive on the g/box(the round section that's got two flat sections) in the centre of the bellhousing. Make sure the convertor does not slip out when mating engine and g/box, when mated there should not be any gap between engine and g/box(transmision) without any bolts tightened, secure transmision to engine then only replace the bolts that holds the torque convertor to the flexplate.

Phillip
