Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's with a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? When adjusting the moon roof did you see any switches ? sunroof limit switch
Measure the reference voltage of the sunroof limit switch soft stop signal circuit at the sunroof control harness connector to a good ground.
Does the reference voltage measure near the specified value?
4.5-5.5 V
Notice: Do not open the sunroof glass past the full open soft stop position. Doing so may damage the sunroof assembly and or the roof top.
Connect a jumper wire to the sunroof limit switch soft stop signal circuit at the sunroof control module harness to a good ground.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Using the sunroof switch, operate the sunroof system, not to exceed the full open soft stop position.
Does the system operate as requested?

Do you know what a wiring diagram is ? Free one's here
http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year ,make ,model an engine size . Under system click body & accessories ,then under subsystem click on sun roof . Click the search button then the blue link . See the control module , motor an the two switches ? One is probably miss adjusted . or bad !

Power Sunroof System Components
The power sunroof system consists of the following components:
• Sunroof control module
• Sunroof motor with the limit switches
• Sunroof switch
• Sunroof glass-spoiler type, with glass sliding above roof
• Sunshade
• Rail and track assembly upon which the sunroof glass rides
• Power sunroof system circuit breaker: PWR WDO 25 A
• Ground: G204

Sunroof Limit Switches
The sunroof limit switches track the position of the sunroof glass through two limit switches:
• Soft Stop limit switch through the sunroof limit switch soft stop signal circuit
• Vent Stop limit switch through the sunroof limit switch range signal circuit
The sunroof control module monitors the limit switches and based on the input combinations, determines the position of the sunroof glass. As a sunroof limit switch closes, the 5 volt reference will be shorted to the sunroof limit switch low reference circuit, pulling the 5 volt reference to 0 volts.
The sunroof control module monitors both sunroof switch input requests and based on the sunroof limit switch input combinations, will control an output to the sunroof motor, to drive the sunroof glass to the requested position.

Sunroof Motor
The sunroof has a bi-directional motor. When the motor is not operating both circuits are grounded. When the motor drives the sunroof glass in the direction from the closed to vent or vent to open position, the following occurs:
• Voltage is supplied to the sunroof motor open circuit.
• Ground is maintained to the sunroof motor close circuit.
When the motor drives the sunroof in the direction from the open to vent or vent to closed position, the following occurs:
• Voltage is supplied to the sunroof motor close circuit.
• Ground is maintained to the sunroof motor open circuit.
The sunroof control module is equipped with a timer circuit which stops the operation of the sunroof motor after 8 seconds.

SOURCE: Car power window failed - need to get closed

You would have to remove door panel and remove the two nuts fastening the window to the window motor regulator then slide window up and use tape to hold it up until you can get it repaired

SOURCE: 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP window auto close/open

OMG. I replaced the battery in my 06 G6 and had the same problem. the windows would not roll up or down how they did before. I read the answers on here and it does work. Hold up the window switch for ten seconds and it resets. You will have to do it to each window. Worked great. Thanks

SOURCE: 06 pontiac g6 sunroof stuck open, car was left in

by using a simple test light you can check each post individuly with the switch in each position also at the motor end check where the wires go into the motor have someone work the switch in each position and test each wire if you have fire going to the motor corrsponding to the switch position (you should have fire on at least one wire in both closed and another wire in the open position of the switch at the motor) and if so then your motor is probably out

I have a 2018 Nissan Murano sunroof, not closing all the way and re-opening on its own

To reset the moonroof, flip the ignition switch to the "ON" position. Then, press and hold your moonroof's button towards the full-tilt position. Repeat that step a second time once the moonroof is tilted upwards. After getting the moonroof to tilt upwards a second time, hold the button for an additional four seconds.

My Moonroof Won't Close or Open - What to Do

Subaru outback moonroof won't close moonroof vent stuck on passenger side

If this occured after trying to close the shade while the moonroof was opening, it is possible that the plastic tab that locks into the vent (and subsequently the rest of the moonroof) has been bent. I was having a similar problem where my vent would only go up on one side and stay closed on the other (and it would sometimes get stuck open). It would also prevent the rest of the moonroof from opening up. If this is the case, from what I can tell, there is no easy fix for this. Upon researching this problem, you are the only other person asking about it and zero fixes. For the time being, the vent can be closed by lifting up on one side to "unlock" the stuck tab and you should be able to put it down. After that, you should look up instructions to remove your moonroof glass to see if you can inspect the affected area to determine the cause. Here is a link that shows you how to remove the moonroof glass, but does not address the exact issue you describe.

My 2004 tiburon moonroof is stuck doesn't open or close i can hear the motor going but the moonroof just doesn't move at all, first it was closing all the way down but was making a funny noise as...

In order to find out what's causing the problem, the headliner must be dropped (removed) to access the sunroof motor so it can be inspected and removed to inspect the slide cables up inside the sunroof/moonroof assy. Until that's done, there's not much more I can do to help except speculate.

02 Outback front moonroof wont open, but closes fine. How do I fix it?

It is likely the switch that has failed.
You'll need to remove the switch and check that there is voltage at the "close" side of the switch when you press it.

What to know if sunroof only slides open or if it will pop up to open like preludes

On EX and EX-V6 models:
The moonroof has two positions: it can be tilted up in the back for ventilation, or it can be slid back into the roof. Use the switch under the left dashboard vent to operate the moonroof. The ignition switch must be ON (II).
To tilt up the back of the moonroof, press and hold the center button. To close the moonroof, press and hold the top of the switch To open (slide back) the moonroof, press and hold the bottom of the switch. Release the switch when the moonroof gets to the desired position. Make sure everyone's hands are away from the moonroof before opening or closing it.
The moonroof has a key-off delay. You can still open and close the moonroof for up to ten minutes after you turn off the ignition. The key-off delay cancels as soon as you open either door. You must then turn the ignition ON (II) for the moonroof to operate.
Hope this helps.

Shade for 93 honda wont close. window works fine. but shade is stuck

I don't know if this will work, but you can try it. If you use the manual method for closing the moonroof, or opening it, it MIGHT take the shade along with it. The following is the procedure, which you may already know.
The moonroof can be closed manually, if the control switch will not close it.
1. Remove the round plug near the rear center of the headliner.
2. Insert the moonroof wrench (from the tool kit, should be in the trunk) into the socket.
3.Turn the wrench until the moonroof seats in the closed position.
4. Replace the plug.
As I say, this MIGHT work. Hope it helps.

Leaking moonroof onto passenger floor

There are gasket replacement kits at local auto parts stores. It's time consuming but well worth it. Prior to starting, inspect the tracks with the moonroof open. There's a chance you have a burr or some other kind of obstruction in the track preventing the roof from properly closing/sealing. A 3 year old vehicle really shouldn't leak from a worn gasket but if the gasket were defective it's possible.
