My 2003 jeep grand cherokee laredo keeps killing on me. The check engine light comes on and the car kind of coughs. It will then idol down and kill. After a few starts the light goes off and the car runs fine. The light does not blink.

Getting code po205 and po305 on 2003 grand jeep cherokee

Code 205 is for a problem with the injector on cylinder 5 and code 305 is for a miss or loss of power on the same cylinder.
I would check that injector next.

2004 jeep grand cherokee laredo, po162, po123

It is most likely the TPS sensor for the P0123 code(TPS voltage out of range). If P0123 occurs again, repair. The P0162 may be a result of the P0123 failure. So repairing the P0123 may also correct the P0162 fault.

The P0162 appears to be Jeep enginr specific. The following link may be of help.

Engine trouble light coming on 2003 jeep gr. cherokee

If the light is ywllow, it's emmissions or some sensor. You can drive to a service center and have the codes read. If the light is red...STOP!! and check engine oil. DO NOT drive further!! Have it towed in for service.

2000 Jeep Grand cherokee Laredo wont start. Engine turn over . No noise from fuel pump with ignition on. Replaced fuel pump and filter.Turn ignition on- pump did not run.Jumped the fuel pump at the pump...

sounds alot the the pcm it controls the fuel pump and ign system but the anti theft would keep it from starting because the key has a transponder in it programmed for that vehicle and that would kill all ign if triggered
