Make sure your radio and ignition switch is off.first you disconnect negative cable first then the positive cable.then you replace new positive battery cable first then you hook the negative battery cable back up last.

04 hyundai elantra positive battery cable needs to be replaced any instructions or tips?

Yes, just in case you have a theft deterrent system, do not leave the battery cable disconnected longer than 30 minutes as that will cause your radio to loose its smarts and not be able to turn on.

My hyundai elantra needs a new fuel pump. does it have to be replaced professionally or can i do it myself?

From www.hmaservice.com

REMOVAL 1. Remove the rear seat cushion. 2. To reduce the internal pressure of the fuel lines and hoses, first start the engine and then disconnect the electrical fuel pump connector. Be sure to reduce the fuel pressure before disconnecting the fuel main pipe and hose otherwise fuel will spill out.

dash panel away and disconnect all wiring harnesses.
Remove the trim bezel (the temperature
controlcable will be attached). Remove (4)
Phillips screws securing the factory head unit
and disconnect the wiring.

How to replace 2004 Hyundai Elantra starter

First, disconnect the battery. Then the only part that needs to be removed to access the starter is the rubber air plenum boot between the throttle body and the air filter housing. This allows enough room to get an arm in there to access the 14mm bolts that attach the starter to the transmission. After removing the bolts, the starter can be removed from underneath the car. lower it down as much as possible, and unbolt the power cable. You may have to twist and turn it a bit to get around the support between the engine block and intake manifold, but it will come out.

How do you replace the cigarette lighter in a 2001 hyundai elantra?

The panel in which the lighter socket is mounted has to be removed.
The socket is held in place by a sleeve which screws onto the body of the socket from the back of the panel. Removing this sleeve will allow the socket to come out. When you do this, make sure negative battery cable is first disconnected.

If you need help removing the panel, please let me know.

A month ago I bought A used 2000 elantra it used to start fpr the first try In the same time I changed the engine oil and Trying to put a good battery when I finished it did not start.

Verify (test) the battery is good/charged. Verify good, clean cable connections (positive & negative, correct polarity). Inspect positive and negative cables for loosness (positive cable condition to starter connection - clean/tight) negative cable condition to ground connection clean/tight). Replace/repair/clean/tighten cable(s) as needed. Did you remove/disconnect any components from the engine when you replaced the battery? If so, did you remember to put/reconnect them back?
