Abs and brake light 99 dodge ram

My neighbor has a 99 Ram and his abs light wouldn't go off. As a brake mechanic myself. I replaced brakes all around , in which it needed, light still on so there is some kind of sensor on top of the rear end. Replaced that and still on. The only thing that is left is the block at the master cylinder, that runs about $300.00, so my neighbor don't want to spend that much. but that is about the only thing left.

99 dodge ram that jerks between 40 and 50 mph

Bring it back to the transmission shop and have them test drive it with the scanner to see if the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) needs to be replaced. A worn TPS will case the transmission to have shifting problems, the TPE sends voltage signals to the PCM and will control the transmission shift points and firmness. If the TPS has a flat spot and the voltage is down at the point where the transmission needs to shift, there may be a conflict of shift program and needs to be addressed. Good luck and keep me posted.

I'm getting code P0138 on '99 Ram

Could be just the sensor, could be a bad fuse, or could be bad wiring. Change the sensor, check the fuse, and check wiring, or reverse order.
