The fuel filter is located in the fuel line under the vehicle after the fuel line comes out of the tank. It is a cylinder shape that is a bit smaller than a coke can. Let me know if you have and further questions. Thanks for using FixYa!

Sounds like you have vapor lock. I had that same problem in another car (different make and model) that I owned. Unfortunately there is no fix for this as its merely condensation happening in your gas tank. Maybe some authorized gas treatment from Kia?
