Okay since you've done a lot to it go back to the beginning. Check all the basics. easiest to hardest. Fuses and then check your wires make sure you're grounded correctly make sure there's no loose wires all your connections are firm. When I replace my coil, it had a huge crack in it which was odd. But also there's wires underneath there that you don't notice that may have a lot of corrosion and sludge on it I cleaned all my contact points and reconnecting them with new hardware. Sorry about your problems hope this helps. also I'm not questioning your ability, but are you sure it's the Sparks to the coil that's the issue or will it just not crank over? Do you smell gas after trying to start it? remember it just needs a few things to run you have air fuel and Spark so just eliminate one after the other and hopefully you find it

Remove the ASD relay (auto shut down). And swap with the fuel pump relay. If it Starts buy a new relay. If not check the distributor power wire plug for damage. and also test the cam and crank sensors.

Which cylinder is cylinder 4 in 2008 jeep cherokee 3.7L

# 4 cylinder is the middle cylinder on the right hand bank, as seen from the drivers seat. Left bank has 1, 3 and 5 (from front to back) and right bank 2, 4 and 6.I would first swap the coil with an other cylinder and see if the fault follows. If it does, then you know that the problem must be with the coil. If it doesn´t, then obviously it is not the coil. You will need then find out if there is spark and fuel. You could have a sticking valve due to carbon buildup on the valve stem. A seafoam treadment could help in that case.

1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo - not getting a spark at the coil

assuming its a 4.0 liter straight 6
the crank sensors go bad and the wire on them frequently get melted to the rear of the #6 exaust tube right were it attaches to cylinder head {the melted wire problem ussually happens after work done in the area of it] if its melted pull it off and see if it will start then tape it up or replace.
you could look up how to check it but they are cheap and easy to install and a new one never hurt nothing.

Need ignition firing for 95 4 l. engine

1-5-3-6-2-4

ALL Jeep 4.0 motors use this firing order. Any year, any model, high output or not.

Also, the spark plug wire placement on the cap, in a clockwise direction from the post nearest the engine block is: 6-2-4-1-5-3. (to the left side of the number 6 post, there should be a hold down screw or strap for fastening the distributor cap to the distributor.

1999 jeep cherokee 6 cylinder engine light

1.Plugs
2. Vacuum leak
3. Injector fault
4. High or low fuel pressure.
Thats the list of things to check.
This is a #3 cylinder misfire.
There is also TSB about #3 injector needing added heat protection. This could definitely be the cause. I start at plugs and go from there.
Hope this helps.
Thank you,
Lee

Runs bad

I don't think 2 coils will go bad at the same time.
Is this a 6 or 8 cyl?
Could be a vacuum line that's common to both cylinders.
