There is a transmission fluid cooler built into the radiator of your truck, which means there are steel lines that run from the side of your transmission up to the radiator, on the passenger side of the truck. the lines are a common leak point due to corrosion. depending on where the leak is, the lines can sometimes be patched, but they sometimes need to be replaced (or fabricated). good luck!

Leaking fluid around left front wheel of 2001 Audi A6

If it is near the tire it is brake fluid. The brake fluid reservoir is back by the firewall driver side of engine compartment. Your car uses DOT 4 brake fluid.

Hi I just purchase a 2001 Chrysler minivan The car turns on but wont drive and is leaking oil transmission Help me wats the problem?

Without transmission fluid the car wont move, it mostly leaks at pan gasket, the transmission cooler line or front transmission seal. I have to say you may be safe to add 1 quart ATF 4 transmission fluid, being in front of the vehicle looking in the engine the dipstck is where you add transmission fluid it on the right hand side yellow handle. pull the dipstick out get a funnel that can help you add transmission fluid if the leak is not that bad this can help you get to shop that can fix the leak and put you on the road

Losing brake fluid(2001 kia sportage)

Check the rear wheel cylinders if you have drum brakes on the rear. Check the master cylinder cap to be sure it's on right & snug. Use D.O.T. 3 fluid, not synthetic. If you're losing fluid there's a reason. Check the front brake pads & slides for the calipers, could be frozen with rust & eating up the pads. Fluid would seem low if the pads are shot.

Transmission leaking nearfront changed front seal still leaking transmission fluid

Most transissions front leak is the front seal but it can also be the pump gasket over flow expelling fluid. To save money you should first change the filter. Them if it still leaks pull the trany and pull the front pump and change the gaskets and seals. If this does not fix it then you should seek professional help.

Our 2001 Dodge Caravan seems to be leaking oil around drive shaft

Yes it's a bad seal and most likely the side bearing to the trans axle is bad too. Once the bearing has play, it vibrates and causes the oil to leak though the seal. Note: if one side went bad the other side is soon to follow since they have the same amount of miles on them. Might as well change both side. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep an eye on the transmission fluid level, don't want to burn out the transmission.
