My 2005 Toyota Tacoma is starting to have some steering problems. As you turn the wheel while driving around a bend the steering is starting to get a little stiff. I am hearing a small klunk noise from the front end but everything seems solid under the truck. i jacked up the front end so both front wheels were off the ground. I then grabed one of the tires and turn it back and forth to see if I could hear any noises. When I bring it halfway throught the complete turn and then quickly bring it back there is a klunk noise. i had someone hold the steering wheel and then I tried to turn the wheels side to side. There is a little klunk noise it way move and 1/8 - 1/4". The truck only has 69000 km

Take it to sears auto or a good alignment shop and let them check it out. Pitman arm or end links may be going bad.

Without looking at it, you may have one or more of the following:

Rust on the inside edge of the rotor (most common)

Worn front brake pads

Front wheel bearing problem.

Backing plate (behind rotor) rubbing the rotor

These are the most common causes, you can see 1,2 & 4 with the wheel off.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Rattling Noise

The power steering pump could be going bad. The noise coming from the catalytic converter could be something as simple as a mounting bracket coming loose, or worst case something busted internally.

SOURCE: steering is loose and makes noise

There are many different parts that can go bad to cause tire wear. I would take the car into a local shop to get the alignment checked. When a mechanic checks the alignment he MUST check for worn or loose parts on the front end. If there are any, he cannot adjust the alignment until they are replaced. Most likely inner or outer tie rod ends have play. Could be struts/sway bar links/ or hub bearings as well.

SOURCE: Clicking noise under the Toyota 1998 Rav4

mcdevito75 here, It could be inner tie rod ends or most like ly worn CV joints in the front axles. Have your auto repair shop check these items for you.

Steering has to much slack in the wheel

The problem can be in the steering box or tie rod ends, but you need to get it repaired right away. The truck is not safe to drive like that.

What is the brake bleed sequence on a 2005 Toyota Tacoma

Standard is bleeding from the furthest wheel to the master cylinder. So, you first do the right rear wheel, then you do the driver side rear wheel, then move to the front passenger wheel and finally you do the front driver side.

I lost my keys and need to start my 2007 toyota tacoma how would i do that

Well you would also have to turn the steering wheel, so that locking mechanism would have to be hammered out as well. Best to get two sets of keys for this car now.

NO POWER STEERING IN 1998 TOYOTA TACOMA AFTER CHANGING POWER STEERING PUMP.

Assuming you have a known GOOD pump that was replaced. Try turning the wheel right then left while keeping an eye on the fluid level in the pump reservoir.
Probably have air in the system.
