Should be bolted right before the transmission (it has a wire connected to the harness) on the upper side of the engine (near the interior). See Chilton manual 20404.

Im looking for a diagram of where the crankshaft sensor is on a 1995 dodge dakota v8 4x4

Your sensor is located on the front of your engine, it's mounted at the
HARMONIC BALANCER which is on the very frount of the crank shaft.

1998 dodge dakota(318 eng will run until warm or hot and if you turn off motor. will not crank back up . motor spins just wont crank ...bottom crank pulley eats up belts also------where is the crank...

The crank position sensor is behind the pass side head, just above the bellhousing, just about were the trans dipstick is located but I would get a compression check at a reputable mechanic shop. It may be due to low compression. The crank sensor should show a code.

Can't find where the crankshaft position sensor is on 1998 dodge Dakota

It is located around the crank pulley. It will have 2 to 3 wires going to it. That will be the only wires that will be located around the crank pulley.
