Put the car on ramps and set e brake.

Use engine hoist to lift engine weight off of car.

Remove mount to engine bolts, remove mount nut.

Lift engine just enough to remove mounts and install new.

Watch exhaust, fuel lines and transmission mount while lifting. They may have to be loosened or moved.

Iam no mech but is it hard 2 change the motor n transmission mounts in a 96 ford thunderbird 3.8 engine if it is whats the going price 2 do so i dont get taken

It is fairly easy to do if you have a lift, but it is possible to do on the ground with a jack and jack stands. You will need to be able to unbolt both sides of the mount and support the engine with the jack while you replace the mounts. If you download the autozone app to a smart pone or tablet it will give you a repair estimate calculator,

96 thunderbird. electric widows motor works but windows won't move

The motor is shot...it still runs but is about to go out, it no longer has the power it needs..replace the motor, or the entire motor regulator assembly and you will be fine.

Do 95 thunder bird have side way motor

No. They do not have transverse mounted engines. These years of the T-Bird were still rear wheel drive. Most came with 302 v8.

Thunder bird 96 will not run will run for a little bit when carb cleaner sprayed intointake manifold

Check ford recalls, they had a recall for the intake manifold on the 1996 t-birds. Ford replaced no charge.

Blown maxifuse to ecu on 96 thunder bird intrmentant

does it keep blowing it or just a one time thing? if its the first time try taking another fuse out of something you dont use as much like a horn or something and see if it blows it, check to make sure heater core is not leaking.

96 thunder bird overheating

Sounds like the heater core (a small radiator of sorts under the dash) is leaking or a hose going to it is leaking. If in a warm climate, you could bypass or block the heater hoses temporarily. Their only purpose is to make heat avail to interior of car. The 2 heater hoses either connect to feedthru's at the firewall or simply pass thru the firewall to the heater core. Every car I've seen has it on passenger side.

Peer up under the dash, it should be clear where it's coming from.
