Check to see if the security light or anti theft light flashes. if that is the case, sounds like the bypass for the remote starter may be causeing the no start by tripping the anti theft system. Remove remote starter and bypass system and join any cut wires back together that may be cut for remote starter. Try starting, if theft light still flashes leave key in the on position after attempted start for 15 minutes till theft light goes solid, turn off and try again. Repeat process for three times to re-learn factory theft system in vehicle. If problem still persists, then take to your local dealer to reprogram factory theft module in the cluster.

Testimonial: "thanks thats what i was thinking maybe the issue. i will try it."

My ford ranger hadn't been started for about six months I put jump leads on and it started straight up after about 30 minutes ticking over it cut out and now wont start just turns over not firing

Several things could cause crank but no start. In my experience the most likely causes would be:
1) Clogged fuel filter
2) Bad fuel pump relay
3) Bad fuel pump.
4) Bad control module
Replace fuel filter first since it needs to be replaced every so often anyways. If still won't start
You can swap fuel pump relay with another same relay in fuse box. Easy way to rule out the relay.
Test fuel pressure. If low or no pressure
Test control module. If good,
Replace fuel pump.
I had same issue with my 2005 Ranger 4.0 several months ago and replacing fuel pump fixed it. Runs great now.

No fire from coil- replace crank sensor, fuel pump relay , new spark plugs

If you have fire going into coil and not coming out than replace coil pack. They can become weak and will cause firing to be muted. Coil should read about 13ohms with an electrical tester when disengaged from the cars power supply set on 20+ohms. Anything less needs replacement.

Feul problem

Lots of things could cause a no-start, Hendrik. Is your "Check Engine" light on? If so, please have someone get the OBD error codes from the car's computer.

Does it crank but not fire?

If it doesn't crank, check the battery condition, battery connections, ground connections to frame and engine block, starter solenoid, starter motor.

If it cranks, doublecheck your fuel pump installation. Make sure the new fuel pump is properly connected and properly electrically grounded. Look for a fuel pump fuse. Check for proper fuel pressure at the fuel rail, check the fuel flow rate. Check for spark, check or replace spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, plug wires. Check valve timing, replace timing belt or chain if necessary. Check compression.

Engine cranks over but no fuel being pumped plus no power to fuel pump. No spark to the spark plug. I put new crank positioning sensor, new cam sensor, changed computer, checked fuel pump relays. Car...

Did you check your coil pac? This supplys power to all parts of your auto. I would check and see if your getting fire comming from your coil , Good luck to you.

1998 Isuzu Hombre 2.2L cranks but won't start.

After trying to start, did you pull plugs & inspect them for wet from fuel, as you said you smelled fuel like it was flooding? Also keep in mind MAP sensor also provides info to VCM which then regulates fuel delivery & timing from info supplied by MAP sensor.

I have a 1998 Isuzu Hombre 2.2L two wheel drive pickup (Made by GM is same as Chevy S10). Ok, here is my problem. It just suddenly stopped running with no warning. It will crank but shows no sign of trying...

The oil pressure sender is a good idea.It sounds like you know what your talking about have you tried spraying a little starting fluid in the throttle body to see if it will start?do you have an injection pulse tester you will need one.if you have no injector pulse but of have spark suspect a bad quad driver in the computer.or possible oil sending unit but this usally just shuts down the pump.Good luck let me know.

1985 Volvo 240 no fuel no spark

well first the fuel pump relay is bad, that is easily replaced. next you have no spark. the first thing you do is take the cap off the distributerand crank the engine. if it spins that tell syou thyat at least the tang or gear on the shaft of the distributor is ok and not broken. next thing is remove the #1 plug and use a 1/4 drive extension 6" long and turn the crank by hand until the #1 cylinder is top dead center(put the extension in the hole of head where the plug was and you should feel the top of the piston also make sure you can feel the top of the piston with half the extension this way you don't drop it in the cylinder with the piston at TDC(top dead center) the rotor of the distributor should be pointed at the #1 firing position. IF it does not that means your timing is off and you need to retime it by taking off timing cover and either replacing the belt/chain or gears. now if you do not have a distributor and you have a coil pack there could be only 2 things that won't give spark. either a bad coil or your altenater is bad(the battery is responsible for starting not running the vehicle like alot of people assume. the altenator energizes the coil which inturngives spark. hope this helps you please rate this thanks
