No a knock sensor can not make a misfire. Check the coils, plugs and fuel pressure .The random misfires are cause the knock sensor to throw the code.

Skippng and misfire on cylinder # 4. How do you know if it is a fuel injector or a coilpac? Is there a way to test either or both? Since the each coilpac is for a dual cylinder should you get a dual...

Fuel injector should 'click' when working, and a fuel injector tester can light when a signal comes from the computer.

Coilpack for dual cylinder can be switched around to see if the misfire follows the coilpack in question when codes are cleared and it is rescanned.
