The low pressure port should be on the Accumulator, that's the silver cylinder that has the low side A/C line going in to it. You'll see the valve on the cylinder for you to add the R134a, do not aver fill the system. Safest way is to open and close the refill valve and let the A/C run for 2 min and see who cold the system is getting adding little at a time. To much R134a in the system will also give you poor A/C performance, to high of pressure in the system will shut down the compressor also.
Thank you for using fixya and when you think the air coming out of the vent is cold enough, stop charging the system.

WHERE IS THE LOW PRESSURE LINE PORT TO FILL THE AC ON A 2006 DODGE RAM 2500 DIESEL

On the reciever/drier on the passenger firewall. If there is no port there check the lines carefully for a smaller port along the passenger side. If no port present then the vehicle has an aftermarket drier and high side fill is the only option.

Air conditioning

When an vehicle's air conditioning system has not been used for several months, the seals within the system start getting dry. I've never worked on a Peugeot 206 or any other peugeot before, that's why I had no idea where the low pressure ac port was. The high pressure ac port is the easiest to locate, because it is in the engine compartment, facing the car from the front, on left side of the radiator. The low pressure ac port is in the engine compartment, facing the car from the front, to the back in the center, under the windshield. The low pressure ac port and the high pressure ac port both have black dust caps. The low pressure ac port is the smaller of the two.

Where is the low pressure port ?

That port would be located at the rear of the passenger side fender well under the hood. It's kind of against the firewall. Be carefull of moving parts as the front of the engine is right there. Good luck

Which port on the ac system line is the one I use to recharge the system? there are 2 ports on top...

the line with the smaller connector on it is your low pressure (fill line) usually the thicker line of the two. A lot of aftermarket parts stores sell freon bottles with little low pressure gauges on them.

Low side on ranger for the port on the ac

hmm ..if you are looking for the low side air conditioner port .. then locate the condenser (thats in front of and looks like the radiator) .. you will notice two tubes going to that ..one is large the other small .. the small tube is the high pressure side .. the large tube is the low pressure side ... follow the large tube back until you find a cap that covers the low pressure port .. thats where you would fill with new refregerant (r134a) .. if you buy r134a, you can also get a filler hose and gage.. that hose will only hook up to the low pressure port ..it wont fit the high pressure port ...

Low pressure ac port

Two ports under hood for ac, use the one closest to the fire wall. Refill valve will only hook up to this one. Use a gauge on refill can so you dont over fill system and blow a o ring

How do I add coolant to the air conditioning system of my 2001 Hyundai Elantra?

You need to locate the low port on the AC.

You recharge the AC connecting to the low port.

You find the AC low pressure at the top of the compressor. Near the compressor you find two ports, the high port and low port.
You can follow the compressor line to reach the port.

To find out which one is the low port, run the air conditioner for a couple of minutes withthe engine on.
Then turn off the care and touch the lines from compressor to the two ports , often covered with plastic caps. Only one of the pipes will be cold, the line that is cold will lead you to the low port.

Where do I recharge ac at

there are 2 ports one for low pressure and one for high pressure. the low pressure is bigger in diameter and is usually close to the dryer and or fender and firewall. the high pressure is near the condensor on the fron of the vehicle. if there are caps for the ports low will be blue and high will be red. low side pressure should be 35-50 psi and high pressure should be 135-150 psi
