VERY high chance of being the distributor cap. Tip, buy ONLY AC Delco brand cap. Aftermarkets will prematurely arc, as they are not designed correctly. Betting this solves your problem. Take a look at the inside of the old cap and rotor, you MAY see some green stuff on the metal from the moisture that was there.
Do not waste money only cheap and the best solution go to loink given and fix it your self

I have a 2000 Astro had the same troubles.I saw that the sides of the coil were burned looking. In between the bar that goes around it. This started around 110K It would run badly when wet or high humidity. Then throw up the check engine lite.Put on a new coil so far the problem has no reocured.
SOURCE: I have a 1998 GMC Jimmy it runs great on a dry
First, I checked to make sure all spark plug wires were o.k.. There wasn't any visible cracks in the top of the distributor cap. So I took an old hair dryer and plugged it in. Set the hair dryer on the top of the distributor cap for about 10-12 minutes. Thats enough time to dry the inside of the distributor out. Engine starts fine so obviously there is a hair line crack somewhere on the distributor cap.
