My tahoe has 110000 miles on it. Need maintenance Info.

My tahoe has 110,000 miles on it. It has had its 100,000 mile check-up (went to the dealership for it). I change the motor oil every 3000miles (give or take 500miles), refill any fluid it needs. What fluids is recomended to be changed at the 10,000miles mark? Have driven approx 3000 miles every 3 months. Tires have crosses the 10,000 mile tresh-hold, should I rotate them? Tahoe is 2001 and it runs great. I would like to keep it that way by giving her what she needs.

I am not longer close to ANY dealership and would like my sweet car to be looked after the right way.

Just bought a 2000 pontiac Gt with 110000 miles on it two days ago. Ive driven it 137 miles before the service engine soon light came on. What do you think it is

The service engine light is usually a flag for an oil change or other maintenance item. If it is reset, it will come back on in 5000 miles as a reminder to change the oil. Ask your dealer's service department how to reset the indicator and do it when you change your oil. I know for Saturn, the proceedure is Turn the key to the on position without starting the engine and within 5 seconds press the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor 3 times. Not sure if it will be the same for the Pontiac, but you could give it a try.

Hey guys, I'm a new owner of a 2009, prev. owned dodge chager (SXT, 3.5, 6-cyl.) coming up on 36,000 miles; and I was quoted a possible maintenance cost of 549.95 @ a local dealer. According to the Lead...

check your owners manual it should list the routine maint. and intervals if not call another dealers service center and ask what they suggest as 36,000 mile service. see if the cost is similar and you have your answer. hope this helps

2000 nissan maxima 110000 miles original owner: transmission slips or seems to disengage while driving rpms go up but no go. Coast for a bit and it all comes back together. It may do fine for many miles...

Check your fluid level but if that is good you need to have the transmission checked. Not what anyone really wants to hear but you have a transmission problem that needs to be repaired.

My 97 tahoe only running on 6 cylinders

If compression test is good is either no spark, bad coil or wire, or no fuel, bad fuel injector. Need to clarify which is not functioning properly.

Warranty question. This is probably a stupid question but here it is. I know in order to get warranty work done you must have kept up with scheduled maitenence. Is there a certain window you have to get...

It would be almost impossible for everyone to get their maintenance done on the mile. The main thing is that it is done.We had some come in with 1 or 2 hundred over and this did not void any warranty. And it does not have to be done at the dealership.Just make sure and keep the receipts to show that you are doing the maintenance. The only thing that helps when you have it done at the dealership is when you go over the warranty miles they will go to bat for you and get repairs done under warranty because you were a good customer. This is the way we took care of our customers at the dealership I worked at.The only thing is not all dealerships are the same.I hope this helps answer your question about warranty.Good luck.

Schedule maintenance

oil and air filter every 3 mo or 3000 miles which ever comes first the timing belt needs to be checked really soon and you might consider taking it to the dealer for a transmission flush filter and fill. the dealer can set you up with the best intervals to do the major maintenance.
