Our car shakes alot when we get to the speed of 80 kms and 100 kms. why would that be? my husband says bears, but others also said wheel mount or motor mount.

first slow down, in older cars. Huh? tempting fate?
get the wheel bearings check first.
car must be 100% road worthy to go fast. (to learn ask)

id not drive it. not me.
not until many checks for safety done.
do you need list.?
go to any brake , tire or suspension shop and ask them to diagnose this. what if a wheel bearings is seizing slowing car.
is the steering pulling, if yes, stop driving it. and for sure 80!

or better any ASE Auto repair shop (pros) they will check it all.
and then you will be safe, and us behind you too.

Usually wheel shake at speed is a wheel balance needed.Although it is good to have the vehicle checked for any worn suspension bushes/balljoints.

Check 5 things Balance, (including road force that checks the integrity of your rims).
Tires if they are cup, they vibrate the vehicle at high speed.
Wheel bearings for movement. Tied rod ends for looseness,
If you brake and rotors pulsate, those rotors will create vibration at high speed.

shaking when braking is caused by warped rotors. Have them resurfaced.
Bearing will cause noise that gets worse with speed and will let up when turing a certain direction.
