Most likely you have a door switch or hood/ trunk reading open. Check them first.

My service Light comes on and stay on after the car is on idle for 1 to 2 minutes. Is not on when you first start the car. I took it to a mechanic and he can;t find nothing wrong with the car, no computer...

If the light comes on then there is a code. the shop you went to may not have the updated software. try another shop. go to a parts store. they can read the codes.

Need to rplace the positive battery cable on a 2003 saturn view..tried to splice a cable in but it too is failing.

if your running a new positive cable, then you have to run from starter to battery. you can change ends but you can not splice into it.

P1599 IS A STALLING ISSUE COULD BE BAD GAS / BAD FUELPUMP DIRTY FUEL FILTER
DISCONNECT BATTERY AND SEE IF THE LIGHT COMES ON AGAIN
U2107 HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE COMPUTER LOOSING POWER AT THE BODY MOUNTS CHECK CABLES AND GROUND STRAP

How do i reset the oil light on a 03 saturn vue? i did the turn the key and press the gas peddle 3 times and that didn't work.

The procedure you used is for the 2006 > Vue, and will not work on your 2003. For the 2002-2005 Saturn Vue V4 or V6 - Under the hood you will see a black fuse box behind the battery. Open it up and you will see a red button, it is small and looks like a fuse but on the top it will say Oil-Res. Turn on the ignition & press and hold that button for about 10 seconds. You may want to have a friend sit in the driver's seat and watch for the indicator to start flashing, which indicates you've activated the reset. Turn off the ignition and that will reset the Oil light.

Service engine soon light, service light, reduce power etc.

It is most likely the Throttle Position Sensor has gone bad. But if the check engine light is on, the only way to tell exact problem, is to have a scanner placed on the vehicle to have the codes read.

Reduced power for real!!!!

There is a fault somewhere on the vehicle which has triggered the engine management system to limit engine power to minimize damage.If you have breakdown cover and live in the Uk then call them.You need a computerised diagnosis of the engine.If you live locally then mail me at [email protected] and I will assist you further.

Here is the definition of the code in GM manual:
P0128 - Coolant Thermostat Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature, this indicates the engine is running cold, u need a thermostat

The CEL (Check Engine Light) will not go out until you hook up a OBD II scanner to your vehicle and erase the code. If it comes back again after you erase it than either the original problem still exists or you have a new problem. You can go to your local AutoZone store and they can hook up a scanner and erase your code for free.
