The horn on my Ford Fiesta Zetec 03 is not working. I think it is a loose connection as every so often it will work, although very quietly. Does anyone know where the wiring is located please. Thanks Jan

The Battery Junction Box (BJB) supplies the switched and control voltage to the horn relay (part of the Body Control Module (BCM)). When the driver air bag module is pressed, the horn switch (which is integrated into the driver air bag module) is closed and ground is supplied to the BCM which is routed through the clockspring. The horn relay then energizes, sending voltage to the horn, enabling the horn to sound.
could be fuse , horn switch, horn itself or wiring. if you have a multimeter place across the horn terminals on dc volts and have a friend sound the horn, do you get 12 volts on multimeter, if not then your horn is ok . check your fuse box for any blown fuses. most fuse boixs have detail on lid of which fuse does what.
How do you know it's the horn ? Do you have a volt meter ? Check for voltage at the horns . Before replacing parts , test . Go to youtube an watch a few basic electrical trouble shooting videos . Your vehicle has two horns an the possibility of both going out is 0 . When you press the horn switch it is a signal to the BCM - body control module , then the BCM turns on the horns . Do you have an airbag light lit on the instrument cluster ? The clock spring in the steering column could be open .What fuse did you check . F32 in the battery junction box - fuse box under the hood in engine compartment . How cars clock spring works
FIRST I WOULD CHECK THE HORN FUSE OR RELAY ...CHECK YOUR OWNERS MANUEL TO SEE FOR LOCATION PROBABLY UNDER HOOD IN A RELAY STATION BOX.IF THOSE ARE GOOD..THEN POSSIBLE BAD HORN ITSELF OR BAD CONTACT BEHIND THE DRIVER AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL.
Hi, the likely problem is the clockspring. Repair requires special tools, including a steering wheel puller. Please let me know if you would like instructions for repair, and thanks for using FixYa.
