On your 89 Acura the ecm has 2 led lights which is under the pasenger seat facing foward. Turn your key in the on position and count the lights to know what the codes are stop by parts store give them the code # i have simular problem my reads code 15 whitch meens my red light flashed 15 times

The plug for it should be under the dash cuz i think you need a diagnostic reader thing that plugs into it and it reads the code and shows it on the screen
